Asian College of Technology relentlessly fought against Monterey School Inc. and cruised to overpowering the MSI in Taekwondo at Bulacao, Elementary School on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

It was a heated and tense fight between two school since only one would win and advance to Division Meet so it was either to go big or to go home.  ACT (male division) wears the red armor while MSI wears the blue armor during the duration of the match.

Each match is full of intensity as the athletes give their opponents ferocious kicks and blow by blow you could feel how fierceness and that they don’t come just to play but they are there to serve and bring home the bacon.

During the first match of the competition, gyoroogi category, ACT was leading as the player continuously serves high kicks to the opponent, giving little chance to flip the situation.

The second match follows and in the second pair. In the second game, it was a match where MSI was able to deliver kick after kick making his opponent stagger and fall. However, when ACT was able to deliver a kick to the opponent, he was now on the offense and continuously gave high kicks, hitting the head of the opponent several times resulting to another win.

As the third game started complications about the groin guard (an essential protective gear for male players) were met but it did not stop the representatives for the third match to surrender. By far, this match was the most intense as MSI commits several foul moves including pushing and repetitive kicking of the lower areas of his opponent. But this did not stop ACT to fight back, in the end ACT wins with 10-7 points during their match.

The fourth match against female representatives followed after where ACT wears the blue armor while MSI wears the red armor. ACT continuously give mid kick and high kick to the opposing team, however, this was also returned by MSI. It was a match that made the players and supporters from each side stand on their feet. It was an almost defeat for ACT but she did not give an opportunity for her opponent to be on the offense.

Not only did ACT Knights won in the gyoroogi category but also in poomse. Representatives of Asian College of Technology showed off their demonstration of high kicks, blocks and different hand techniques with power and strength. Their moves were very well calculated and controlled. The way they performed was balanced and precise, it made the audience go silent as they observe their choreography of forms and patterns.

At the end of the competition, Asian College of Technology brought home 11 gold medals and they now advance to Division Meet.
