District Meet 2019: The Opening

Last September 25, 2019, the opening of the most awaited sports meet for the athletes of Asian College of Technology, District Meet, has officially started. The opening was held at the Talisay Grand Stand where it catered athletes and coaches from three different Districts since this year’s sports meet is the first Simultaneous District Meet to be held where ACT is under District Two.

To celebrate the start of the District Meet, a vigorous jingle from different districts started the program. It made each player full of energy as they holler their cheers with pride and confidence, signifying that they are ready to play and give out their best. Despite the number of athletes from division two, ACT Knights’ vivaciousness continue to sky-rocket and partake in the jingle with so much fire.

After the ground-shaking yells from the athletes of each district, the Lighting of Torch came in next where CVRAA gold medalist, Mary Ann Pastolan took the honor to light it. And of course, the respected Oath taking of Athletes and Coaches followed where Aurora Pipito, badminton gold medalist of Talisay City National Highschool, led the Oath taking of the Athletes while Coach Roger Vilaveles led the Coaches’ oath taking.

Julianna Sereno, elementary representative, wears her sports attire.

Lastly, the important and most awaited part of the program is the pageantry of beauty and elegance between the beautiful representatives from different schools, the Little Miss and Miss Talisay District Meet 2019.

Elaiza Cagalatan, Secondary representative, in her sports attire.
The muses of District Two from elementary and secondary strut with so much allure in their white outfit, captivating the audiences and the judges as they introduce themselves.

They also showed off their unique and iconic sports attire that made the crowd go wilder in which Asianista, Elaiza Marie Gasalatan won Best in Sports Attire.

However, only one could only be crowned as Little Miss and Miss Talisay District Two. The representative of Tabunok Elementary School garnered the title Little Miss Talisay District Meet while Gasalatan, ACT’s beautiful and chic representative, was crowned and named as Miss Talisay District Meet 2019 of District Two letting them advance and represent Division II during Division Meet.

Her effort and win made Asian College of Technology proud, congratulations Asianista!
