Bakit Nanghuhusga ang mga Tao sa Kapwa?

Image

The Imbalance of Generosity and Self-preservation

Image
Retrieved from jcogtasquotes.com           Generosity is the virtue of being kind, selfless and giving to others without expecting something in return and being generous enhances a person's sense of purpose. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with giving and helping people that surrounds us especially those who are in need and it is a much desirable action in the community. However, sometimes people abuse the generosity of a person that they forgot that they should give something in return for the kindness of the person like showing a sincere gratitude, that simple action would suffice instead of saying 'thank you' mindlessly. And sometimes giving too much to people would leave the person with nothing left and at the end he/she alone suffers. This quote struck me the most because I've experienced giving too much, it was not materialistic things but it was my time and love that I gave and sadly, i didn't realized earlier that I dug too deep and with that I cou

Deception of Women

Image
In before times in Greece, women were written and portrayed in mythology as beguiling, manipulative and apparently, they cause the downfall of men. And so a lot of people have been saying that women are the source and weakness of men but at the same time they are the bringer of joy and light into the lives of men, even to the most barbaric of them all. “Behind every man’s success is a woman and behind the fall of a successful man is usually a woman” or so they used to say but who is to say that this is true? Although, this is only in poems and stories but there is a clear connection between what was written to what is actually happening in real life. Whatever relationship or any situations that were depicted in myth would not have been efficient and competent if it were not also reality. Through four incidents in Greek mythology let’s see if what is said about women is true. PANDORA’S BOX Pandora opening the jar In The Theogony of Hesiod , in exchange for the help

ACT red armour block Monterey red armor in a Chamber Position using his left arm.           Asian College of Technology relentlessly fought against Monterey School Inc. and cruised to overpowering the MSI in Taekwondo at Bulacao, Elementary School on Thursday, September 26, 2019.           It was a heated and tense fight between two school since only one would win and advance to Division Meet so it was either to go big or to go home.   ACT (male division) wears the red armor while MSI wears the blue armor during the duration of the match.           Each match is full of intensity as the athletes give their opponents ferocious kicks and blow by blow you could feel how fierceness and that they don’t come just to play but they are there to serve and bring home the bacon.          During the first match of the competition, gyoroogi category, ACT was leading as the player continuously serves high kicks to the opponent, giving little chance to flip the situation. District Meet 2019: The Opening

Image
Last September 25, 2019, the opening of the most awaited sports meet for the athletes of Asian College of Technology, District Meet, has officially started. The opening was held at the Talisay Grand Stand where it catered athletes and coaches from three different Districts since this year’s sports meet is the first Simultaneous District Meet to be held where ACT is under District Two.           To celebrate the start of the District Meet, a vigorous jingle from different districts started the program. It made each player full of energy as they holler their cheers with pride and confidence, signifying that they are ready to play and give out their best. Despite the number of athletes from division two, ACT Knights’ vivaciousness continue to sky-rocket and partake in the jingle with so much fire.           After the ground-shaking yells from the athletes of each district, the Lighting of Torch came in next where CVRAA gold medalist, Mary Ann Pastolan took the honor to

Desiderata: Reflection

Image
Happiness is something that can only be defined by people themselves, it depends who is defining it as it means different to different people. Some people gave this simple word a complex meaning. It even is divided into two components: eudaimonic and hedonic, but for me, happiness simply means to be able to feel the freedom of being oneself and being free from fear and anxiety. Life is never easy and as young as I am, I realized that. That is why the thought of being able to indulge in luxuries, being able to travel to places and meet people and many other pleasurable situations, never crosses my mind. Because to be free is a euphoric feeling in this world full of negativity.      Desiderata is poem I have read before when I was in grade 6, it is full of lessons that teaches the readers different values. One lesson I found was learning to let go of the negativity, this includes toxic people, emotions and thoughts. This is a lesson I need to learn and I want to share beca

Reflection: Pakistan Earthquake Preparedness Plan

Image
The world is divided into seismic zones based on the tectonic plates. Earthquakes are the evident shaking of the surface of the Earth. If we look into a map of the world’s earthquakes, it shows that most of them lie in narrow zones, often around the edges of the continents, or in the middle of the oceans. A good example of this is Pakistan or officially known as Islamic Republic of Pakistan , a populous multiethnic country in South Asia. It is geologically located in the Indus-Tsangpo Suture Zone, which is roughly 200 km north of the Himalaya Front and is defined by an exposed ophiolite chain along its southern margin. Pakistan’s most remembered earthquake they’ve experienced is the Kashmir Earthquake that happened last October 8, 2005 that has claimed over 730,000 lives, affected over 2.5 million people and damaging over millions of infrastructures. It is imperative that buildings in Pakistan should withstand the seismic hazard to which they are exposed. However, most of t

Script: Romeo and Juliet

ROMEO AND JULIET PROLOGUE Two households, both alike in dignity, In fair Verona, where we lay our scene, From ancient grudge break to new mutiny, Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life; Whole misadventured piteous overthrows Do with their death bury their parents’ strife. The fearful passage of their death-mark’d love, And the continuance of their parents’ rage, Which, but their children’s end, nought could remove, Is now the two hours’ traffic of our stage; The which if you with patient ears attend, What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend. ACT I SCENE I  --  Verona. A public place. [Enter GREGORY, of the house of CAPULET, armed with swords and bucklers] Gregory: A dog of the house of Montague moves me.  To move is to stir; to be valiant is to stand: therefore, if thou art moved, thou runn’st away.  That shows thee a weak slave; for the weakest goes to the
